The Land of Polar Bears
Join your fellow travelers on a once in a lifetime tour to Churchill, Manitoba, the land of the polar bear’s tundra.
This Churchill adventure, led by an Expert Interpretive Guide, allows you to experience the excitement of polar bear viewing from a world famous Tundra Buggy and enjoy the charm of this unique town.
Day 1 — Home pick up and transfer to O’Hare Airport for our flight to Winnipeg. Visit the Manitoba Museum for a special program which explores the human and natural history of the region and provides an overview of the tundra and Inuit existence. We will have a group meeting this evening with our Interpretive Guide for a general overview of the upcoming tundra experience. Enjoy a relaxing night in Winnipeg before our flight to Churchill tomorrow.
Day 2 — After breakfast, we’ll board our morning flight to Churchill. An interpretive transfer will be made to town, followed by lunch. Get your camera’s ready as we learn about and experience first hand dogsledding in the afternoon. Enjoy dinner on your own at a local restaurant. Overnight Churchill.
Day 3 — After breakfast, we spend a full day on the Tundra Buggy Adventure with lunch on board.
Day 4 — Breakfast begins our day followed by another full day Tundra Buggy Safari in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area—where polar bears await the freezing of the Hudson Bay. Lunch served on board. After a fantastic adventure with the polar bears, we board our evening flight to Winnipeg with dinner aloft. Overnight Winnipeg.
Day 5 - An optional visit to the world renown Museum of Human Rights for a concluding program in respect to the cultural experience with the Indigenous perspective on rights and responsibilities. We fly home to Chicago with transportation provided to home.
