Welcome in the season and enjoy a tour filled with history, holiday traditions and merriment! Stroll historic Main Street to encounter Santas from around the world, Christmas Legends, carolers and more!
Day 1: A delightful ride to our Saint Charles lodging provides a cocktail and hot hors d'oeuvres reception followed by an opportunity to participate in a candle light procession along side the Legends of Christmas and sing-a-long of traditional Christmas carols led by the Cobblestone Wassailers.
Day 2: Our day begins with a driving tour of Historic Saint Charles. Enjoy a group class of candle making or a seasoning & spice class with gifts to take home! Celebrate with a cheer at the Santa Parade followed by free time to hop on the free trolley that loops around the downtown area. Test your luck at Ameristar Casino, smell the roasting chestnuts, visit with the strolling carolers, take a photo with your favorite Santa from around the world, and frequent the wide array of shops for holiday shopping! A fabulous dinner completes our day.
Day 3: The First Presbyterian Church origins date back to 1828. President Lincoln attended this church. Our tour includes the Sanctuary which features seven windows designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Afterwards a delicious luncheon awaits at Maldaner's Restaurant, established in 1884, one of Springfield, Illinois's finest restaurants.
