Travel 'round the world - in Omaha, Nebraska, that is! Kick off the holiday season with a festive holiday tour packed with holiday decor, spirited shows, yummy treats, and more.
DESCRIPTION:
Day 1: We depart from the Midwest Conference Center in Northlake and begin our passage to Omaha, Nebraska. After checking into our hotel, we transport ourselves to the Renaissance years for a festive evening for a Madrigal Christmasse Feaste filled with the spirit of Christmas. From the rousing wassail toast to the last bite of Yorkshire pudding, you will be enchanted by singers and jesters and of course, the Queen’s Court!
Day 2: We begin our day at the Lauritzen Gardens for a Holiday Poinsettia Show. Then, off to Union Train Station where ethnic communities have decorated small holiday trees to represent their own unique heritage. No passport needed as we visit Greece and enjoy a delicious lunch and tour of the Greek Orthodox Church. We travel the speed of lightening to visit Boy’s Town and see Father Flanagan’s home decorated according to Irish Christmas Holiday traditions. Enjoy a performance of A Christmas Carol this evening.
Day 3: This morning, we visit St. Cecilia's Spanish Cathedral as we learn of the 50 year struggle to complete the structure. Tour General Crook’s House for a glimpse of Victorian Christmas decor. Poland is our next destination where an authentic meal and entertainment is on the menu. We’ll have time to visit a landmark Christmas event at the Mormon Trail Center to view over 100 gingerbread houses professionally created. Our farewell dinner and Celtic harpist provides a wonderful conclusion to our festive tour around the world!
Day 4: Homeward bound after our worldwide tour for the Holiday Season!
