DESCRIPTION:
DAY 1 - Home pick up to airport. Arrive in Portland, Oregon, the “City of Roses.” Enjoy a city tour, including the famous Portland Rose Gardens. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 2 - Travel along the Oregon Coast. Stop at Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, home of the original Spruce Goose. Enjoy free time in the seaside village of Lincoln City. Check into our hotel in Newport with free time to stroll the beach before dinner and a private after hours tour at the Aquarium and Oceanographic Museum.
DAY 3 - Attend a Sea Life Cruise aboard a 65 ft floating classroom for a hands on experience. Tour the Oregon Coast along one of North America’s top ten most scenic drives. Enjoy an exciting dune buggy ride climbing and descending through the beautiful National Dune Recreational Area.
DAY 4 - Take a Jet Boat Ride on the Rogue River. Later, cross state lines and stop at the Trees of Mystery, the Redwoods of California. Tour the Redwood National Park and learn about the myth of Paul Bunyan. See the giants that are 5 stories taller than the Statue of Liberty. Overnight in Eureka and enjoy a hearty lumberjack meal this evening!
DAY 5 - Continue into California’s Wine Country through Sonoma County and sample some of the finest vintages produced in the world. Visit Sacramento, capital of the most populous state in the nation. Tour the California State Railroad Museum. Explore Old Town for quaint shopping and dining.
DAY 6 - Depart Sacramento and enter Yosemite National Park, the Jewel of Sierra. Be enthralled by the experience of canyons, granite domes, streams and forests. Board the Valley Tram to travel Yosemite’s most famous sites, including El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls, second largest waterfall in the world, Bridalveil Falls, and the geologically fascinating Half Dome for a full day of touring.
DAY 7 - Descend from the Sierra Range and travel to San Francisco and Fisherman’s Wharf. Enjoy a comprehensive tour of the area including the Golden Gate Bridge, the Presidio, Chinatown and much more. Enjoy free time to continue exploring and perhaps ride the famous Trolley Cars!
DAY 8 - Transfer to the San Francisco Airport for your departure to home.
