Join your fellow travelers on a wonderful 10-day, 9-night tour to the wonderful country of Poland. We will enjoy a regularly scheduled flight from Chicago to Warsaw. There will be full meal and beverage service en route, 8-nights at highly rated hotels included, as well as 16 meals (8 breakfasts, and 8 dinners). Full sightseeing is also included with a local expert guide and plenty of free time for individual sightseeing, shopping, relaxation, and evening entertainment. Enjoy the wonderful temperatures averaging in the 70’s and 60’s’s during the day while the countryside displays its beauty, sanctuaries and places listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Optional Masses will be available.

Day 1: Depart Chicago’s O’Hare Airport in the evening on an overnight flight with one connection to Warsaw, Poland. (Meals on board)
Day 2: Upon arrival, we’ll meet our local guide and travel to the city center of Warsaw. Enjoy a panoramic city tour of Warsaw and free time in the city center. After checking into our hotel, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner. Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 3: Today, enjoy a full day of touring Warsaw: Laziekowski Park with the Frederic Chopin monument, The Warsaw Ghetto and Umschlagplatz, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Palace of Culture and Science, Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street and the Old Town, ( a UNESCO site) which was completely destroyed during WWII and reconstructed thanks to the commitment of the Polish nation. Visit St Stanislaw Kostka’s Church and learn about Fr Jerzy Popieluszko. Enjoy a Chopin Music concert in the evening. Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 4: Today, we’ll travel to Niepokalanow and visit the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, founded by Fr Maximilian Kolbe. After free time, we’ll continue to Czestochowa for a guided tour of the most important pilgrimage place in Poland—the monastery in Czestochowa: Jasna Gora with the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary—the Black Madonna. Overnight in Czestochowa.
Day 5: Travel to Auschwitz—Birkenau for a guided tour of the former German Nazi concentration camp in Aushwitz-Birkenau. Today, this is a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Continue to Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains and check into our hotel in Zakopane and enjoy dinner.
Day 6: A visit to the so called capital city of the Polish mountains is on our schedule. It is known for a famous ski resort but also a place of interesting architecture, traditions and of faith. Visit the traditional Jaszczurowski Chapel and continue to Krupowski Street where you can buy anything from smoked cheese to jewelry. Afterwards, continue to Krzeptowski Shrine—the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, built to thank God for saving John Paul’s life in the 1982 attempt on his life. Continue to Gubalowski by cable railway to see the spectacular view of the Tatra Mountain range and ride in horse drawn carriages through this beautiful area. Overnight in Zakopane.
Day 7: Today, we depart for Wadowice where John Paul II was born in 1920. Visit the Pope’s home and church where he was baptized. Continue to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska to visit the Bernadine Monastery complex, the 3rd most famous sanctuary in Poland and a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Overnight in Krakow.
Day 8: A full city tour to explore the different architectures and a visit to the largest medieval market square in Europe (Rynek Glowny) begins the day. Visit the Archbishop’s Palace, where Karol Wojtyla lived as a cardinal. After lunch, it’s time to explore the Wieliczka Salt Mine—one of the oldest salt mines in the world and listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Overnight in Krakow.
Day 9: Travel to Lagiewniki, the Center of Divine Mercy and John Paul II Sanctuaries. After free time in the centre, visit the Kazimierz— Jewish District and enjoy a leisure in the area. Overnight in Krakow.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport and begin our trip back home. (Meals on board)
